Mother’s Day Apron

I’ve sewn an apron for my mother-in-law a couple Christmas ago and she always has mentioned that she is using hers all the time and would love one which is not holiday inspired and just screams of Christmas.

This time I used much thicker fabric than I did the first time. I bought this cute fabric at IKEA a while ago, which is a lot sturdy than the usual cotton, perfect for an apron.

It’s a simple apron and this time I also added a pocket.

I learned a lesson from this apron, next time I am going to create a lot bigger ribbons in width if I use a sturdy fabric. It took me almost 2 hours just to pull them back to the right side after I sewn them. Or I will use quilting tape which I have done before.

My mother-in-law loves her new apron. I think I might have to make my own or create one for the Chef Cook in our house, which is not me!
