I didn’t want mine to be double side or with lining. Just one layer. I decided to go with 45×45 inches and pretty big pattern.
I first serged the fabric edges, just to have it clean and straight. I know I didn’t need to serge the fabric, if I fold the fabric edges twice, but I’ve been just enjoying to use my new serger so much. And practice just makes everything better.
I fold the fabric twice over and ironed the seams down.
Then I pinned down the pompom trim and top stitched it. I used white thread, which is visible when you turn the scarf on the left side. I won’t do at the next scarf I am making, because it’s bothering me a bit.
I am super stoked about the scarf. In the picture you can also see my new knitted hat. I finally picked up the needles again. I finished my first cable hat and working on my second one.
